Normal morning practice schedule this week, Tues-Fri.

Group 3 - 7:15-8:30

Group 2 - 8:30-9:30

Group 1 - 9:30-10:30 

MEET:

Our next meet is a Tri-Meet and is scheduled for Monday, June 10th at Lakeside Swim Club.

We will be swimming against Picayune and Lakeside.

Directions coming from Front Street:

Pontchartrain Drive heading toward the lake;

Turn left on Markham in Westchester Estates;

Turn right on Cumberland,

Lakeside Pool is at the end of the Cumberland Street

 

Parking can be difficult so I suggest allowing enough time to find a place to park and still get your child there on time for warm-ups. 

Warm-ups are a little different this week due to it being a tri-meet.

Pinewood warm-ups are from 3:10-3:35pm. 

Sign-outs:

It is extremely important that you sign your child out of the meet if they will not be there to swim.  We had several no-shows at the Mini-meet and yesterdays meet and it really messes things up, especially relays!!!   

The coaches put a lot of time making the roster for the meets and planning relays and when one person does not show up it can eliminate an entire relay team.  This not only means less potential points for the team but also it robs other children the chance to swim again!!  Please be considerate of this and let us know ASAP if your child is not able to swim.

Also, the team has to pay entries for each child entered into the meet regardless of whether or not you show up. 

Volunteers:

Please be sure to respond to Kevin Samrow's emails regarding volunteers.  While we have 3 teams to split volunteers with, Picayune's team is much smaller than us and Lakeside. 

Besides, the more often you volunteer the more chances you have to win a prize at the end of the season!  We enter your name into a raffle for each shift you volunteer for.  This is our way of saying THANK YOU!!! 

Swim Hop:

Last week's swim hop was a huge success!!!  Thank you to everyone who came and supported our team!  Good news, the diving board is in and should be in place by next week!

Next swim hop will be next Thursday, June 13th from 6-9pm, $5.00 per swimmer.

This is open to the PUBLIC!!!  Be sure to tell your friends!! 

Tshirt Orders:

Most of the tshirt orders are in and ready to be picked up.  A lot of people picked theirs up last night at the meet.  Unfortunately, some orders have not been filled yet.  I am working on getting these by next Monday.  Please be patient with me! 

For those who have picked up their orders, please be sure to check to make sure it is correct.  Human errors happen, sorry! 

Lastly, emails:

I have had a few people tell me they are not getting emails from me & or Kevin.  Please spread the word when you get an email to make sure your friends know.  That way, if someone is not getting them they can let me know to add them to the list.
